We re-painted the cranes, using glossy battleship grey Rust-Oleum paint, after scraping, sanding, and brushing. Chris Kent and Chandler Owen each climbed a 30-foot extension ladder to reach the top of each crane; others of us sanded, brushed, and painted lower sections, all with help and supervision from the Park Rangers. The results are stunning! A second work party pulled up posts from the wooded parking area to the west of the sailboat parking lot, while Joyce and Suzan painted the concrete abutment by Shelter # 4.
